Laura Hinds graduated with her master’s degree in English/Language Arts Education from the University of Florida and went on to be a Language Arts and Critical Thinking teacher for the next 17 years. Laura was selected as the Gamble Rogers Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2004 and earned her National Board Certification for English/Language Arts in 2006. She then spent two years as a Peer Evaluator for St. Johns County Schools during which time she observed, evaluated, and coached teachers in grades K-12 using the Marzano Framework. Laura has been an Instructional Literacy Coach for Murray Middle School and a Gifted Consultative Teacher for Elementary and Middle Schools across her district. She is now the Assistant Principal at Cathedral Parish School in St. Augustine, Florida.
Laura has presented at conference and school district settings including Nuts and Bolts, ECET2, and the Florida League of Middle Schools Regional and State Conferences.
