Dr. Andy Parker’s passion for issues around social justice, leadership development, and serving students brought him to his current role at New Orleans College Prep. He serves as Co-CEO and Chief Schools Officer for this organization, whose mission is to prepare each of its students to enter and excel in a rigorous four-year college or university.
Prior to his role at NOCP, Andy supported a portfolio of schools in the greater New Orleans area with the Achievement Network (ANet) providing coaching, professional development, and a suite of tools that included interim assessments, an online platform of teaching resources, and reports for teachers and administrators. He has also been a high school teacher, school and district administrator, and college instructor of Educational Leadership—all along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Andy speaks at regional conferences on issues surrounding leadership, curriculum and instruction, assessment, and student motivation. He is a motivated, enthusiastic speaker and leader—passionate about advancing equity in education and about harnessing the power of the individual to create game-changing results for students.
